My practice involves working across object installations, video art, and drawings, with a focus on exploring the aesthetics of new materialism as a "process of self-colonization" influenced by popular culture and rapidly advancing technologies. By reinterpreting and appropriating different aesthetics, I critically reflect on contemporary identity politics, examining how cultural forces shape our understanding of self and the world around us.

Drawing from feminist, post-colonial, ecological, and post-Marxist thought, my work investigates themes such as ritual, ecology, animism, and identity within the context of post-media space. I employ a strategy of layering time, mixing elements from the past, present, and speculative future, to disrupt traditional rules of perspective and composition. This approach allows me to decolonize visual representation and question the cultural structures that shape our visual and spatial perceptions.

Posthumanism plays a central role in my practice. I question anthropocentric perspectives, exploring how technology, landscapes, and non-human entities can shape reality in a post-apocalyptic context. By decentering the human subject, I reflect on how these forces interact to create a dystopian or speculative vision of the future, where survival and identity are continuously renegotiated. My work invites viewers to reflect on how these post-apocalyptic, posthuman themes influence our connection to the world, urging us to reconsider agency and identity in a reality mediated by cultural collapse and technological evolution.

		<description>The project Sundog And The Zero Point was a project which I developed in Budapest 2025, at&#38;nbsp; Young Artists' Association (SYAA) and the project was supported by Visegrad Fund. The project is in-betweent art project and art movie. I developed different 3D visualisations of the main characters of the future movie.
The curator of the exhibition was slovak curator Lucia Gavulová.


The Sun Dog. A speculative hybrid identity, represented in the exhibition through an animated film accompanied by a voiceover, constructs a vision of climatic affectivity. It is an open body, permeated by external political, ecological, and psychological pressures. An avatar of ideological grotesque, it embodies the crisis of anthropocentric identity, displaying the iconography of right-wing populism and a toxic form of national identity on a faded baseball cap. Yet the cap is not aggressively red, as in its most notorious form – its washed-out, pink hue carries a certain subversive hope for better (?) post-worlds, or perhaps signals exhaustion with harmful inherited patterns.


The visual sequence conjures a vision of planetary empathy: climatic processes unfold directly on the face, as Pintérová radicalizes the ecological image – climate is no longer “out there,” external to the human; it is within – in facial expression, in identity itself. The animation explores the disintegration of the subject under the weight of environmental and ideological crises – the mask cannot hold its shape, cannot function as a boundary between inside and out, as a protective shield. The voiceover, composed of fragments from pop song lyrics, forms a collage of magical contemporary language, mixing pop-cultural symbols with archetypal ones, opening up a space for both personal and collective reflection.


The monster, as a feminist figure of otherness, disrupts norms and creates space for post-identitarian, environmental, and ritual thinking. In feminist psychoanalysis, monstrosity becomes a surrogate symbol of transgressing patriarchal patterns (Barbara Creed). At the same time, J. J. Cohen, whom the artist also references in the work, views the monster in his book Monster Culture (Seven Theses) as a dynamic and culturally conditioned phenomenon – one that constructs and reflects collective anxieties.


The print Cats of two cat skeletons – one dark, shiny, almost volcanic, and the other light, appearing more fragile – might, through this formal opposition, evoke conflict; yet instead of tension, the dominant feeling is one of (fragile?) balance. The slightly opened jaws of the skeletons suggest dialogue, not threat. A jewel growing like coral from the tail of one of the cats acts as a ritual detail – a link between the dead and the living, the human and the animal – a suggestion that even death can carry beauty. The quiet spirituality of the scene is complemented by a swarm of butterflies, symbols of transformation.


In her exhibition presentation, Pintérová navigates the boundaries between digital illustration, animation, and figurative soft horror. She employs technology as a contemporary shamanic tool to create fragments of a myth about the collapse of the world as we know it; a metaphorical hack of the bug of ritual phallic power – a ritual phallacy (in the sense of disrupting patriarchal power structures) – and to speculate on the archaeology of the future.

2022 Borderline Case – Contemporary Reflections on Central and Eastern European Identity at MODEM Modern és Kortárs Művészeti Központ / MODEM Center for Modern and Contemporary Art

In some aspects Borderline Case&#38;nbsp;is the continuation of the 2018 art exhibition&#38;nbsp;„Time of our lives?”, which reviewed the works of emerging Hungarian artists. The exhibition&#38;nbsp;puts on display the works of fourteen young artists from five countries (Czech Republic,&#38;nbsp;Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Romania), most of which were made for this occasion. The title&#38;nbsp;Borderline Case was inspired by the novel by Péter Hunčík, a psychiatrist of Hungarian origin who lives in Slovakia, presenting the 20th-century history of the region through the story of the inha bitants of a small Slovak border town with a mixed population. One the one hand, the term suggests that setting clear-cut boundaries has always been a crucial question in Central and Eastern Europe. On the other hand, it has always been hard to decide whether the region belongs to the West or to the East. The title was chosen spe- cifically because it does not contain the slightly self-iro nic stereotype that compares the&#38;nbsp;region to the “West”. Although the artists are members of a generation socialized in a&#38;nbsp;globalized world, at the same time their lives are inevitably influenced by regionalism in the most different areas. The important question to ask is to what extent their identity is affected by this and how it is reflected in their artworks. Historian Gábor Egry contributed to the preparation of the exhibition by helping to outline the historical context. The histo- rical review interpreted Central and Eastern Europe in terms of three concepts: language, border, and the self-definition of the region. It was essential to point out those historical features which defined the region not only in the 20th century; therefore, the temporal focus of the historical examination was on the period between 1848 and 2021.

The object that says nothing and represents nothing, which symbolises the border of its own emptiness during its search for identity. A hyperobject that the mind can pass through, and that guides our imagination towards infinite borders. Border, as an empty hyperobject, turns the ideologically blurred visual representations upside down. The ontological border of min- imal totemism or primitivism is the empty identity itself. Material is the animism of identity. The empty horror vacui. The object, which is faceless, but which carries the spectator away towards infinite, limitless ideas.

The exhibition “Spleen” (arch. spleen - melancholy, loss of certainty) was created as a student initiative supported by the Department of Printmaking and Other Media of the AFAD in Bratislava with the aim of presenting young art and its subjective monographic approach to point out current issues. The issue of certainty, sensitivity, melancholy is the main thematic line of the project. At the beginning of this year, the project of the exhibition was presented in a virtual space called SPLEEN-online exhibition, now we have the opportunity to realize the exhibition in a physical space (we couldn't wait for it).The exhibition presents a cross-section of the work of four artists, whose work combines the theme of time, space and identity. Each of the authors sensitively perceives their immediate surroundings. Through various media, they share their own beliefs, experiences and reflections with the viewer. Despite the subjective basis of the works, the various codes are interconnected into a shared sense of “spleen”. 		<description>Zero Point


The Zero Point is a hypertextual constellation of different interconnected conceptual parts and mediums. It&#38;nbsp;represent a continuation of my research on mapping artistic practice and identity in the age of the technological acceleration. Objects, bodies and environments are becoming intercon- nected hyperobjects, which are creating different speculative narratives for reconsidering the relation of human and non-human beings in the time of identitarian and ecological crisis.

The individual as a social&#38;nbsp; building unit — the block — the base of the structure of the larger whole.&#38;nbsp;
The fictional textual meta-narrative that was part of the exhibition is associative meditation, self-reflection 
on one's own "Eastern" post-socialist hyperidentity disintegrating and fragmented under the influence of technology. 
Experiencing an uncertain globalized present that creates an ambivalent relationship to the past, future and to one's own identity. 
Object and subject as a time capsule of presence and &#38;nbsp;the paradox of searching for lost time and identity in the local environment
 of home at the point zero.


The exhibition was part of my project as a Bridge Guard artist in residence. 


The residency is connected ontologically to the Mária Valéria Bridge and to the River Danube in Štúrovo, Slovakia. 


From April 1 - September 15, 2020 my residency happened during corona quarantine under border lockdowns.

One point. A sign. A place.


Two points. Connected by a line. Vertical or horizontal.


Two lines of equal length connected by two lines of equal length create a square.
The square is flat. A plane.
The cube is spatial.


The cube has: its spatial extent, its material and more than one side.
It is composed of planes in space. It lies on the horizon, or is located vertically.
The square is transformed. Transformation. It repeats several times, at different angles.


The cube is made up of interconnected squares, but the view is different 
from each point of view.

Obsession.


The square. If flat, it’s usually a square. If it has dimensions, it’s a cube. The cube is made up of planes in space. It lies on the horizon, or is placed vertically.


In the past, the position of celestial bodies was measured relative to the horizon. To determine latitude, the height of the setting Sun above the horizon was measured.
Explorers reached distant lands, which were then colonised, with the help of the horizon.


Abroad. Exotic, attractive and clean.


Homeland — Post-socialist exotic.
The three truths of the triangle. If we add the fourth point, we get the basic backbone of the square.
The inside of the square is flat and empty. The walls form the spatial extent of the rectangle / square.


The gallery, empty space. White cube. Hospital and psychiatry also has white space. Institutional systems where we are educated and disciplined, such as school. A system of social rituals. An institutional system.


The body moves in the white space in familiar and repetitive practiced&#38;nbsp; movements — which are naturally internalised by social habits, organised in the same way as for movements in sports.
Sport moves towards a goal. Towards mental and physical cleansing.


A cat. It has nine lives. I'll put it in the cube. It’s moving in this specific space. It might die. Maybe it'll survive.

Existence at many places and in many spaces simultaneously: paradoxical identity. Neoliberal capitalism. The body is on the move, but it is also paralysed at the same time. It stands still and is also moving in the space. In-between past and future there are two points. It’s a politics of active paralysis. The present. No future exists.


Two paralysed/static objects are in a space: object A and subject B.
The third one is a body in movement: C
C orbits as freely as a planet. An object at a place, in space.
The horizontal and the vertical relationship of the triangle. An object. 
The spectator orbits around it.


The object predetermines the identity of the spectator. If there is no object, the spectator also does not exist.


The art piece forms the social mind. It’s an organic sculpture.
Obeying the rules, discipline.&#38;nbsp;
My moves are disciplined.
Collective paralysis.


Inside and outside.&#38;nbsp;
The paradox of social borders.
From ourselves to another. Towards otherness.


The water in which a body is reflected. Collective consciousness. 
Sign, imprint.
Social structure.

Participatory exhibition/happening 7th and 16th August 2020 at Beastro bar gallery, Bratislava. Collaborative project by Martin Toldy &#38;amp; Renáta Pintérová. 

The exhibition opening included a reading on the color orange and a performance in the gallery space. 

After the performance, the public could shoot a bow into a straw wall.

Orange, the blend of red and yellow, is a mixture of the energy associated with red and the happiness associated with yellow. 
Orange is associated with meanings of joy, warmth, sunshine, enthusiasm, success, encouragement, change, determination, 
health, stimulation, happiness, fun, enjoyment, balance, sexuality, freedom, expression, and fascination.


Orange is the color of joy and creativity. Orange promotes a sense of general wellness and emotional energy that should be shared, 
such as compassion, passion, and warmth. Orange will help a person recover from disappointments,
 a wounded heart, or a blow to one’s pride.


The meaning of the color orange is stimulating, vibrant, and flamboyant. While made up of red and yellow, it carries less aggression and fierceness than the color red due to its combination with the calming color yellow.


Studies show that the orange color can create physical effects such as increased hunger, heightened sense of activity, increased socialization, boost in aspiration, stimulated mental activity, increased oxygen supply to the brain, increased contentment, and enhanced assurance. Orange also helps aid decision making, and enhances happiness, confidence, and understanding.


The color orange has very high visibility and is often used to gain attention.
 It still gets your message noticed without the bold
in-your-face presence that the color red has.


Additional words that represent different shades, tints, and values of the orange color: fire, gold, copper, flame, mandarin, tangerine.


Orange when combined with yellow conjures up feelings of heat and fire, as well as fresh fruit. When combined with the color green, 
the colors elicit feelings of adventure and tropical destinations.


Too much orange causes self-centered and self-serving qualities, including pride, arrogance, and lack of care for others. 
Too little orange causes loss of motivation, lower self-esteem, and loneliness.


Different shades of orange have different meanings.
 For example, dark orange may represent deceit and distrust, while red-orange relates 
to passion, pleasure, desire, aggression, domination, and action. Golden orange often stands for prestige, wisdom, illumination, wealth, 
and quality. A light orange or peach color tend to be more friendly and soothing.


Orange symbolizes energy, vitality, cheer, excitement, adventure, warmth, and good health. However, pure orange can be brass; however, 
it may suggest a lack of serious intellectual values and bad taste.


Orange is currently a trendy, hip color. It was a “groovy color” back in the 70s and then it faded away. In 1991, an article in Forbes magazine about how orange affects consumer choices concluded that orange meant cheap.
 (Note: “Cheap” in this case meant a good buy for the money.)


Heat, warming, global warming, hot, fire burning


A gradual increase in the total temperature of the Earth's atmosphere, which is generally attributed to the greenhouse effect caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide, CFCs and other pollutants.


According to NASA's definition, climate change is "a wide range of global phenomena created mainly by the combustion of fossil fuels, 
which add heat-trapping gases to the Earth's atmosphere." These phenomena include increased temperature trends described by global warming, but also include changes such as sea level rise; loss of ice in Greenland, Antarctica, Arctic and mountain glaciers around the world;
 flowering changes of flowers / plants; extreme weather events and the measurement of animal species. "
